Medical Terms AI
Current Business Venture • Medterms Layman's Terms LLC
My flagship project and current business venture: Medterms Layman's Terms LLC. This is a plain-language translator for electronic medical records, inspired by my family's experience with a cancer diagnosis. The company logo is shown here, and the main display features a short screen-recorded demo video of the live site in action. I built this from the ground up—lots of trial and error, and plenty of 'vibe coding' along the way. Creating this taught me so much about product development, AI, and healthcare tech. The LLC is fully formed, but I'm seeking advertising funding to grow. The beta version is fully functional and live, but I'm not accepting payments yet. This project was born from a real need: watching doctors glide past terms like "regional lymphadenopathy" and "T3N1 staging" while my family nodded along, pretending to understand. I started by pulling every note we could download and feeding the medical jargon into early NLP prototypes. The first summary helped my family ask sharper questions at the next appointment, and that convinced me the idea was worth polishing. Building this as a solo founder has been a journey of learning, iteration, and resilience.
